I was Born to dance —

I’ve drifted towards art for as long as I can remember. I started dancing when I was two and I’ve been doing it ever since. Along the way I picked up many more talents involving my love for the arts (Singing/Instruments/Painting/etc).

Being a part of this project has truly been a blessing for my mental and physical self. My creative process for the choreography for this project was quite personal. I decided to tap in to my real life lived experiences: Moments and feelings of growing up as a queer woman of color, feeling like I had to put up a persona that didn’t quite feel like me, and the emotional and mental affects that those situations had on me.

This piece is truly a representation of a journey of self discovery and self acceptance. I will forever and always be grateful for this opportunity to share and give light to the untold stories of all types of people, including myself. Big thanks to the other members of this project, it was an amazing experience that’ll cherish eternally.
